Vauxhall Zafira (99-05) - Review Review by Parkers on 01 January 1999 This Astra-based seven-seater was Vauxhall’s surprise package upon its launch in 1999. Its innovative ‘Flex 7’ seat-folding technology was a forerunner for many of today’s flexible people carriers, putting it ahead of its peers in terms of use of space, while its compact size means it’s a good drive, too. Unfortunately, the ride is ponderous and the rear seats are for small children only, but Zafira is a great choice for the family buyer in need of practical versatility and a bit of fun. 4 out of 5 Other Vauxhall reviews Summary Facts & Figures Equipment Driving & Performance Comfort Costs Safety & Reliability Buying & Selling Also Consider Company Car Info Owners' Reviews Gallery 4 out of 5 Buying used Tempting retail prices make Zafira a smart choice for the larger family, '99T examples are roughly half the new price, meaning a base 1.6 Club can be picked up for £5500, while that year’s range-topper - 1.8 Elegance - is on forecourts for just over £7100.
