Volkswagen Caddy Maxi Life (08-10) - Review Review by Simon Harris on 07 March 2008 Last Updated: 24 September 2009 It might be based on a humble van, but the Caddy Maxi Life has all the credentials it needs to win recognition as a great family car. As the name suggests it's based on the Caddy van which means it's able to offer plenty of room for seven - along with all their luggage - and is good value for money too. An excellent reputation for quality and a refined ride make the Caddy Maxi Life a strong alternative to traditional people carriers, especially as it is available with a choice of diesel engines and manual or semi-automatic gearboxes. However, the rear seats aren't as flexible or as user-friendly as other people carriers and a new buy, it looks quite expensive. 3.5 out of 5 Other Volkswagen reviews Summary Facts & Figures Equipment Driving & Performance Comfort Costs Safety & Reliability Buying & Selling Also Consider Company Car Info Owners' Reviews Gallery 3.5 out of 5 Summary Tweet New price range: £17,288 - £19,401 Used price range: £8,812 - £15,053 View all used prices Get a Volkswagen Caddy Maxi Life (08-10) information pack Next steps High quality cabin, masses of passenger space, can seat seven, large boot, sliding side doors Van-like appearance, rearmost seat difficult to remove, other people carriers are more user-friendly inside It might be based on a humble van, but the Caddy Maxi Life has all the credentials it needs to win recognition as a great family car.
