What differentiates this one from the likes of the Vauxhall Astra TwinTop and Renault Megane CC is that the roof is steel and glass - and even incorporates a sunroof, which gives a light and airy feel to the cabin even when the roof is up and it's pouring with rain. It's powered by some of Volkswagen's best engines including a fuel-sipping but strong diesel and the 2.0-litre turbo that's also found in the 2005 Golf GTI.
