Volkswagen Lupo (99-05) - Review

Review by Parkers on
Last Updated: 23 February 2011
The tiny Lupo offers a premium package of reliability, driveability and desirability. The GTi models are mischievous and especially fun to drive with the six-speed gearbox. Main criticisms are the 1.0-litre and 1.7 Di diesels can feel underpowered and the boot is too small for most needs.

Equipment

Basic 1.0 gets power steering, twin airbags, radio/cassette but not much else. The rear windows on the S open, and the seats slide and tilt. Sport has alloys, a bodykit and ABS. GTi gets a six-speed gearbox, sports seats, sports steering wheel, leather-trimmed steering wheel and Xenon headlamps.
