Volvo C70 Convertible (99-05) - Review

The C70 T5 Convertible, developed from the S70 saloon, has sports suspension, front fog lights and 17in alloy wheels. The GT (originally a pack available with the T5, then a standard package from 2000) adds climate control, cruise control, traction control, ten-speaker audio, electric driver's seat with memory, leather upholstery and heated front seats. Revisions to the line-up in October 2001 included new alloy wheels and Stability + Traction Control (STC), optional lowered suspension on T5 models, and a Dolby Surround Sound audio system on GT models. Range rationalised to just convertibles in November 2002. This gave revised lights, black 'egg crate' grille, 16in Ceres alloy wheels and a wind deflector, all standard on all models. GT versions have 17in alloy wheels, driver information system, uprated nine-speaker audio system with three CD autochanger.
