Volvo C70 Convertible (99-05) - Review Review by Parkers on 01 January 1999 The C70 Coupé is now dead, but the Convertible version lives on. It makes a welcome alternative to the executive convertible sector competing with Saab, BMW, Audi and Mercedes-Benz. It's getting on a bit but still makes a great place to be for four people on a sunny day and is practical enough for year round usage. 3 out of 5 Other Volvo reviews Summary Facts & Figures Equipment Driving & Performance Comfort Costs Safety & Reliability Buying & Selling Also Consider Company Car Info Owners' Reviews Gallery 4 out of 5 Safety Very strong with crumple zones and side impact protection. Four stars for S70 (on which it's based) in Euro NCAP crash test. ABS, driver's and side airbags (optional passenger bag). Immobiliser, deadlocks, alarm, optional TRACKER satellite tracking system. Euro NCAP Provides motoring consumers with a realistic and independent assessment of the safety performance of some of the most popular cars sold in Europe. Stonechips to the bonnet and the occasional brake and steering fault are the only complaints from owners. Will run to very high mileages if properly maintained. Car check problem points Body Worn suspension and brakes. Engine/Gearbox Throttle can stick, slow auto change on 2.0. Other T5 can be pushed especially hard. Look for kerbed or damaged alloy wheels and damaged suspension. T5 tends to munch tyres. Car Valuations Find used car prices with Parkers accurate car valuations.
