Volvo S80 (98-05) - Review Review by Parkers on 01 January 1998 Volvo's executive class saloon is a worthy rival to the German class leaders. With excellent equipment and a beautifully designed cabin, the S80 is incredibly sophisticated, safe, subtle and sleek. To emphasise its market position, there's not even an estate version. Like Saab, Volvo has maintained its individuality and solid Swedish sensibilities, but not at the expense of style. 4 out of 5 Other Volvo reviews Summary Facts & Figures Equipment Driving & Performance Comfort Costs Safety & Reliability Buying & Selling Also Consider Company Car Info Owners' Reviews Gallery 2.5 out of 5 Running costs Fuel economy and servicing costs are more than reasonable for this type of car, but it won't hold it's value as well as the best in the class. * based on most recent data Estimated fuel cost for 10,000 miles per year Unleaded £1,918 - £2,455 * Diesel £1,457 - £1,781 * The estimated fuel cost figure is a guide to how much this model will cost to fuel each year, so you can compare between cars.
