Company car drivers using Apple's iPhone can now download an application that reminds them to pay the London congestion charge.
The application from AutoAlert uses the phone's GPS location to confirm whether the phone is in the charging zone. Clicking the pay button in the application either generates a text message payment or connects to the congestion charge call centre.
If no payment is attempted, AutoAlert will send a text message reminder. The application is downloadable through the iTunes store, while the reminder service, along with additional reports, maps and features is available for £5 per month on a pay-as-you-go basis.
