Audi has launched a new entry level A3 Cabriolet model that is cheaper than before with improved performance and lower emissions.
The 1.2 TFSI model replaces the 1.6-litre petrol engine and offers the same 105bhp, with claimed fuel economy of 49mpg (up from 40 in the 1.6) and CO2 emissions of 132g/km - down from 167g/km.
As a result, the new 1.2 TSFI model will be substantially cheaper in terms of company car tax - the list price is £490 lower and the CO2 drop means it is taxed on 15% of list price, rather than the 21% of before. Company car tax bills drop by £250 a year, saving around £21 a month for a base rate taxpayer.
Available in Standard, Sport and S line trim levels, the A3 Cabriolet 1.2 TFSI is priced from £19,985.
