Renault is to bring its budget Dacia brand to the UK in 2012 and leading the way is a cut-price off-roader which is likely to sell for around £11,000.
Dacia, pronounced 'datcha', was originally an eastern European brand but has seen huge sales across western Europe, prompting the decision to begin sales in the UK.
The first model to arrive will be the Duster, a compact off-roader, at the end of 2012. Available in two and four-wheel drive form, Renault is indicating that it could sell for as little at £11,000 in the UK.
Sales will be through certain Renault dealers and more details will be announced closer to the launch.
