Lexus is adding a new sporty trim level to the IS saloon range.
The F-Sport models feature a bodykit, larger alloy wheels and sports interior influenced by the high performance V8-engined IS F super saloon.
However, the F-Sport models feature a more prosaic engine choice - either a 2.5-litre petrol allied to an automatic gearbox, or the 2.2-litre diesel.
The former engine gains a slight improvement in CO2 emissions (down from 214 to 209g/km) while fuel economy remains at 31mpg. The diesel engine is unchanged at 50.4mpg and 148g/km.
F-Sport trim brings lowered suspension (on the IS250 only), 18-inch alloy wheels, bootlid spoiler, sports seats, aluminium pedals and Alcantara and leather seats.
The F-Sport models are on sale now, priced at £28,290 for the diesel and £29,365 for the petrol.
