The ultimate off-roader will get even better in September when a revised Range Rover goes on sale.

Headlining the changes is a new V8 turbodiesel engine which is more powerful yet cleaner than the unit it replaces.

The new 4.4-litre TDV8 engine delivers 313bhp, an increase of 47bhp over the 3.6-litre unit. However, fuel economy rises from an average of 25.1mpg to 30.1mpg and CO2 emissions fall from 299g/km to 253. An eight-speed automatic gearbox with paddleshifts is also fitted as standard.

Inside are some slight trim changes, while outside is a new design pack option that gives buyers the chance to add revised bumpers, grilles and side vents.

The new Range Rover goes on sale in September with prices expected to start at £67,000.
