Alfa Romeo has launched two new engines into the Brera coupe and Spider convertible ranges.

Buyers can choose between a 200bhp 1.8-litre TBi petrol unit or a 170bhp version of the 2.0-litre JTDM turbodiesel engine.

The TBi petrol returns a claimed fuel economy of 34.9mpg and CO2 emissions of 189g/km, which puts it in the 26% benefit-in-kind tax banding.

The JTDM diesel offers 52.3mpg economy and CO2 emissions of 142g/km, putting it in the 21% BIK band.

All versions are on sale now, with prices starting at £24,995 for the Brera and £26,995 for the Spider.
