New Yaris models revealed

  • Toyota adds new models to Yaris range
  • T Spirit and SR feature more kit and better trim
  • On sale in January 2011 for £11,695 including 20% VAT

Toyota has released two new Yaris models to expand its current UK range.

The new T Spirit model features extra kit while the new SR model brings a dose of sports styling to the standard range.

The T Spirit model adds a detachable sat-nav, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, eight-spoke alloys, climate control, rear parking sensors and chrome surrounds for the front fog lights.

It's available in both three and five-door versions and with either petrol or diesel engines. Buyers who opt for the larger 1.33-litre petrol or 1.4-litre diesel can pick from either a six-speed manual or Toyota's 'Multimode' semi-automatic.

The SR model features Toyota Motorsport alloy wheels, tinted rear glass, a rear spoiler and a chrome exhaust tip. It also includes the extra kit seen on the T Spirit model, as well as a chrome and leather gearshift and chrome front foglight surrounds. It's only available with the 1.33-litre petrol engine with a manual or multimode transmission, while colour choices are limited to white, red or silver.

Both cars come with Toyota's five-year/100,000 mile warranty. Options include metallic paint, stability and traction control, rear disc brakes and the Yaris protection pack. which includes floor mats, mud flaps and side protection mouldings.

The new Yaris T Spirit and SR models go on sale in January. The T Spirit costs £11,695 while the SR model costs £13,215, inclusive of 20% VAT.
