Citroen's C3 and DS3 now have derivatives that could potentially save motorists over £2,500 each year.

The refined C3 hatchback and its extrovert DS3 relative can now boast exemption from the London congestion charge as well as road tax.

The Euro 5-compliant diesel engines in the DS3 DStyle 99g and the C3 airdream+ emit 99g/km CO2, meaning they qualify for free congestion charging in London. If you pay the congestion charge at £10 each day, five days each week (excluding weekends and bank holidays), you'll save around £2,500 in congestion charge alone.

Coupled with free vehicle excise duty (VED) and fuel economy of 74.3mpg on the combined cycle, both cars also sit in the lowest 13% BIK band.
