SEAT has added a new trim level to its Leon range targeted specifically for company car drivers. New Leon SE Technology Business models sit above SE trim in the range and will initially be available in ST (estate) guise only. Order books for the five-door hatchback will open in early 2016.

The SEAT Leon ST SE Technology Business is available to order now with a choice of two diesel engines, a 1.6-litre with 108bhp or a 2-litre powertrain with 148bhp. Monthly tax bills and fuel costs should prove low with the 1.6-litre engine emitting as low as 99g/km of CO2 and achieving up to 74.3mpg on the combined cycle.

That means the new Leon SE Technology Business slots into a BIK tax band as low as 17 percent for the current 2015/16 tax year.

The more powerful 2-litre turbo diesel engine offers up to 68.9mpg on the combined cycle with CO2 emissions as low as 106g/km for both the five-door hatch and ST, impressive stuff when you consider the car can accelerate from 0-62mph in 8.4 seconds.

P11d prices start from £20,545 and the new trim is equipped specifically with company car drivers in mind with adaptive cruise control, rear parking sensors, sat-nav, LED lights, DAB radio and automatic lights and wipers all included as standard.

SEAT UK head of fleet and business sales, Peter McDonald, said: “The Leon has spearheaded our fleet sales drive over the last 18 months, but the SE Technology Business takes the model on to the next level when it comes to business use. An already remarkable package has been made even more compelling, especially when value is such a key part of the equation, which it inevitably is whether the choice is down to the user chooser or fleet manager.”
