In their own words

By far the most basic car I’ve owned but I love it. Got fed up with big repair bills on my Grand Cherokee so bought a new Duster – probably the most sensible purchase of my life. Really practical car with loads of boot space – I’m a surfer and wake boarder so always carry loads of kit (a 9’2” longboard will actually fit inside the car with the tailgate shut!). I was concerned about buying a car with only 110 bhp but the diesel actually goes extremely well and can be thrown about through the corners and grips very well – yes it does have some body roll but can be pushed really hard. Cornering very hard on an uneven surface does upset it, the shock absorbers can’t cope and you get a bit of skittering but most Duster owners won’t push it that hard. Very comfortable, Satnav and multimedia system are good but bluetooth hands free is pretty rubbish. If you’re looking for a really practical car at a sensible price, look no further – you won’t regret it. As a bit of background info, I have owned BMWs and Audis (including M3 and S4) so I am not rating this car highly because it's the best car I have owned but because it genuinely deserves high praise for its value for money.

How reliable do you find the car?

Only problem a deformed drivers seat rail making the seat rock slightly. Changed at service under guarantee
