• Summary

What does this car say about you?

It is different, it is individual. To be honest not had a negative comment said about the car, it is very popular.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Nothing but appreciation and stands out despite being a fairly run of the mill looking car. Independent garages love it and it is usually the only one they have ever seen/worked on.

Would you buy this car again and why?

What are you likely to buy next?

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Independent

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £8,500

When did you buy the car?

    January 2008

Did you get a good deal and why?

The deal was very good being a Fiat, so suffered the Fiat depreciation.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I like it because it was unusual. Rare and looked well looked after.

    What was the dealer like?

Little good to say. The car was not properly serviced as promised.

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

Drives well, nippy enough, steady handling and excellent grip. A bit noisy a high speed but not horrendous, good rear space with loads of Japanese gadgets. 6 speed box allows you to do 70mph with the engine idling at 1400rpm.

    What's it like to park?

Easy to park, precise steering with good visibility. Excellent traction in the snow and ice so no chance of over doing it and smashing into cars and walls.

  • Living with it

    5 out of 5 5.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

In 40000 miles an alternator failed. This was possibly down to a lightning strike (I know it sounds wacky it was witnessed). Other than that 100% reliable.

What's most practical about your car?

Good space and the four wheel drive system is excellent in wintry conditions. It is no heavy off roader but is ample for rural area's. A far more practical choice than the Chelsea Tractors parked outside schools. Apparently they have them for the winter but drive solely on road.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

As said before the electronic 4WD. Simple to use even my partner is happy with using it. She has become the envy of the Chelsea Tractor brigade who haven't the first idea how to engage the 4WD on their vehicles. Diesel engine is a gem even though it can be a little unrefined. 6 Speed gearbox is a real plus.
