  • Summary

    4 out of 5 4.0

What does this car say about you?

That I'm a boy racer reliving my youth!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They like it and are amazed with the power when I take them out in it.

Would you buy this car again and why?

I would, but only if the standard equipment was raised, Xenons should be standard on a £24,000 car!

What are you likely to buy next?

The new 2015-2016 Honda Type R turbo!

  • Buying experience

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchised

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £17,310

When did you buy the car?

    August 2014

Did you get a good deal and why?

Looking around online at cars with similar mileage (4k) I found that this one was at least a £1000 cheaper than all the others.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Wanted something a bit faster than my 08 Honda Type R.

    What was the dealer like?

The salesman was only 18 and not insured to drive the car, he was more excited than I was about the testdrive!! From start to finish everything went smoothly. 10/10 to Evans Halshaw Blackburn.

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

Awesome! Lot's of power when needed. Will cruise all day at 70 or above with very little effort. Drove to Wales and took it easy, got 53mpg! Very good on fuel when you're not pushing the loud pedal too hard!

    What's it like to park?

Reverse sensors would be good to have (an optional extra). Rear windows are tinted, including rear screen so reversing in the dark is hard work. Camera would be a good option to have. Other than that it's easy to park.

  • Living with it

    4 out of 5 4.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

The boot lid randomly unlocks itself for no reason, I mentioned it to the dealer and they replaced the boot lock mechanism as water might have been getting in and shorting the electrics. Seems to have sorted it. Also, an annoying rattle from the drivers window that can't be sorted. A point to note, the car has a 3 year warranty but only the first 12 months cover trim items!

What's most practical about your car?

Large boot and easy access to the interior due to having 5 doors.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

I'd have to say the most favourite part of the car is the engine, lot's of power when needed. An annoying part of the car is the fact that Xenons are only available on the ST3, mines the ST2 and the lights are terrible!
