• Summary

What does this car say about you?

That I'm a family man that values practicality. However the fact my CRV is black and has blacked out rear windows I think I have a certain amount of street cred on the roads!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

My neighbour thinks the car looks great.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes because apart from loving the car, so far my experience with Honda dealers have been excellent. My previous car was a Honda Jazz & it never let me down, so I'm expecting the same from the CRV.

What are you likely to buy next?

    5th generation Honda CRV.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchised

Did you buy this car new?

    Yes

    What price did you pay?

    £21,815

When did you buy the car?

    May 2015

Did you get a good deal and why?

End of line sale promotion so got a hefty discount on a pre-face lift CRV. Also had privacy glass, mud guards and 5 years servicing thrown in for free.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

With a growing young family I needed more space than my Honda Jazz provided.

    What was the dealer like?

    Very professional and attentive.

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

The CRV picks up speed nicely and I have not struggled with any steep inclines.

    What's it like to park?

The front and rear parking sensors combined with the rear view camera are a godsend. The length of the CRV does mean I need to go back and forth a few times to get out of a tight parking space.

Have you had any problems with the car?

After its first clean I noticed a paint blemish on the bonnet and a few scratches. The dealer have agreed to have the whole bonnet repainted.

What's most practical about your car?

The huge car boot has already helped a friend with a flat move. I also checked that the boot could cope with 3 suite cases, 1 pushchair and 3 bags for our upcoming holiday which it did.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

With 2 young children and summer just around the corner the privacy glass is a must. Never thought I would purchase privacy glass but the test drive on a sunny day sold me. The Bluetooth hands free telephone is also very convenient.
