Safety isn’t one of Amica’s strong points and it lags behind many other, more modern, small cars. It hasn’t been crash tested by Euro NCAP and there’s only a driver’s airbag – poor by today’s standards. Seatbelt pretensioners, anti-lock brakes and side impact bars are also fitted, but none of these features are out of the ordinary for a small car.

The boot is very small, but the back seats split 50/50 and fold for carrying larger items. The rear speakers sit parallel with the parcel shelf and are the limiting factor in the ultimate space available. The CDX model benefits from storage drawers fitted below each front seat.
