What does this car say about you?

I think that this car shows you're different but in a good way; it makes you stand out from the crowd... All I had is positive comments about this car... It's a real head turner.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

My family thinks the car is really nice but impractical for them but they don't drive it and are hardly my passengers so oh well... All my friends are slightly jealous, they all tend to drive the comon corsas and fiestas where as the Hyundai isn't as common especially with a young driver behind the wheel.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes definitely! It's been the best car I've driven, I like the way it feels and I can certainly push it to its limits.

What are you likely to buy next?

Either Hyundai coupe 2.7 or a Nissan Skyline GT R33 depending on insurance prices.

Did you get a good deal and why?

Yes, I got a really good deal on this car, I've paid £800 for this car bearing in mind that it has only done 60,000 mile. The reason as to why I got it so cheap is because the previous owner decided to go for the 2.7 litre version because he liked the 1.6 so much.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Being a young driver it's hard to find a car other than the most common corsa or a fiesta, I wanted to look different than all of my fellow friends, I wanted to have something unique. I was searching for cars for food 3/4 months nothing specific just general search when I came across advert that listed my Hyundai. I checked the insurance prices and how much it would cost me, upon checking I decided to go for it. Other reasons as to why I brought it were that this car is really stunning sporty looking affordable machine.

What's it like to drive?

The car drives superbly! However I wanted to discuss one matter in particular; I've read a lot reviews about this car before buying it and one thing that turned out to be rather incorrect is the performance! Many people have said that these 1.6 engines are lacking power; I don't agree with this statement. These 1.6 engines have Dual-Overhead Camshaft (DOHC) these engine tend to really go, I had 115mph out of my coupe and it still felt as if it wanted to go for more. Best bet is to take one for a test drive and feel it first hand.

What's it like to park?

Because I have previously drive vehicles that were a lot smaller I found it quite difficult to do a parallel park because this vehicle is substantially wider and longer. It took me about a week to get used to it. Now it's a no problem.

Have you had any problems with the car?

When I brought the car I knew it had few faults that needed looking at in near future. For examples: Break discs - they needed looking at because the were slightly warn an expense of £120 together with new break pads and labour. Break pipe - upon inspection of the vehicle I have discovere that the break pipe was slightly corroded therefore I didn't hesitate to change it this, this was an expense of £25. I also m ow that the cambelt and water pipe will need changing in about 20,000 miles however every car with a timing belt requires this sooner or later. These were the only faults as far as I'm aware nothing else came to my attention.

What's most practical about your car?

When thinking about practicality first thing that comes to mind is the boot size; the boot is absolutely hudge for a vehicle like this... I fitted 2000Watts twin subwoofer and still have enough space for decent grocery shopping.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

The 1.6 S version of Hyundai isn't exactly loaded with gadgets, it comes with the standard electric Mirrors and Windows etc... Good feature is the cup holder on the passenger side, this is very useful. Furthermore the best thing about this vehicle is it's design outside as well as Inside; the outside is really smooth sporty aerodynamic low seated body and on the inside we have really nice leather bucket seats together with leather trims on the door pannels with nice touch of red stitching giving it even more sporty feeling.
