In their own words

The Proceed GT is gorgeous, just look at it from every angle. Four doors would ruin the looks. Don't do it! It has a compliant ride (for a hot hatch). The Gamma engine has proved reliable in previous Kias.... So you can relax on engine reliability. The value? Don't even get me started...! Superb value against all competitors. Tech? Really good/competitive. Performance? OK, it's not as exciting as my current Fiesta ST.... Do yourself a favour, and realise that the performance is to be found "lower to mid range" in terms of the rev range, almost like a diesel. So it's a pretty fast car, faster than most of the cars in your mirror, but if you're after drama and hot hatch thrills, look to a more immature offering from Ford etc. I used this car as a driving school car (crazy choice, and a way of indulging my love of cars with my job), and I traded it in against a Fiesta ST. Why? Because it's actually very easy to stall on moving off. And it's a bit big. If it was purely a private purchase, I'd still be enjoying it. And washing it. And waxing it :-)
