• Summary

    4 out of 5 4.0

What does this car say about you?

That I like some a bit different to the usual German or French brigade. Although not the coolest car in the world, but still a good looking car and it's quite rare to see on the roads.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Everyone seems quite impressed with it. The usual Kia stereotypes still exist, but people are generally very surprised at the quality of the car compared to Kias of old.

Would you buy this car again and why?

I probably would, but would like to have the 2.0 CRDi with the "4" trim level.

What are you likely to buy next?

Something a bit bigger, possibly an estate or SUV style car. The 3-door ProCee'd is roomy enough for its size, but can be a bit difficult to get in and out of.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchised

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £9,995

When did you buy the car?

    February 2013

Did you get a good deal and why?

The car was an ex-demo and with the new Cee'd coming out around the same time, they wanted to clear stock. Overall a good deal.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I wanted something trouble-free, cheap to run and easy to own. The main reasons being 60-70MPG, £20 a year tax and 7 years warranty.

    What was the dealer like?

Very helpful and attentive. Overall very happy with the service. Thoroughly recommend Griffin Mill near Pontypridd.

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

Generally very comfortable and handles quite well. The engine is very economical, but could use a bit more power. Quick enough up to about 50-60mph and then starts to struggle a little bit. Cruises fine at 70-80mph though and 6th gear is very useful. Can be a bit crashy over lumpy roads, but still refined enough.

    What's it like to park?

Easy enough, but turning circle doesn't seem as good as I would have thought for its size. Rear window is quite high, so hard to judge where the back of the car is. Worth having parking sensors if the option is available.

  • Living with it

    5 out of 5 5.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

Nothing at all and the car is nearly 3 years old now. The stereo isn't the greatest, but thinking of an aftermarket upgrade in the near future. Interior is of a good quality and not too much dodgy plastic, although tends to squeak a lot when driving on bumpy roads.

What's most practical about your car?

Very cheap to run. Just add fuel and go. No problems with it at all. Only had to change some tyres so far.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Bluetooth and MP3 capabilities, cruise control and overall quality feel of the car. Feels very solid and well-built.
