In their own words

What's to like about this ca?: it is superbly comfortable, spacey, solid, good in any weather - when it is not broken down. Having bought this from a well know independent in Feb 16, I was required to take it off road in August until March 17. I stored it correctly but when I took it out from 'storage' there was water in the fuel tank - so new filter and drain (£140). Then a red 'Limited Performance' warning came on the dash and the car closed down too safe (limp) mode). A scan of the system indicated a turbo activator issue. I took it to my local Land Rover independent who informed me it needed two new turbochargers, an intercooler, a turbo activator, seals, gaskets, oil and £1000 plus VAT labour charge. The various parts and labour added up to £5250. I enquired how could all this have gone wrong when the car was merely off the road for 6 months. My repairer said "These are not good cars. I have one or two Discos, Evoques and Range Rovers in here a week, all needing expensive repairs like yours. Get rid of it. The only decent Land Rover is the Defender". I am taking him at his word and getting rid of it at the first opportunity.
