  • Summary

    4 out of 5 4.0

What does this car say about you?

I like comfort, but combined with good handling a decent performance.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Even though the car is old, they all like it with the exception of rear legroom, where things do get a bit tight to say the least!

Would you buy this car again and why?

No, as it is very thirsty on fuel and is expensive to maintain (it has cost me around £2000 in 7 months for repairs using independent specialists). I also expect my next car to be a company car.

What are you likely to buy next?

Whether company car or a personal purchase, it will likely be either a Toyota Prius or a VW Golf 1.6 Tdi DSG.

    September 2011

Yes, but bought car as is with the alloy wheels needing a refurbishment.

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

Excellent handling for such a comfortable car, with a lovely tight turning circle which is excellent for maneuvering around confined areas or doing a u-turn on a narrow road.

    What's it like to park?

A doddle to park if you drive into a space as the badge on the front is an excellent guide for distance. I do wish it had parking sensors at the rear though as when reversing into a space, you sometimes have to get out of the car to check whether you can go back further.

  • Living with it

    3 out of 5 3.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

Wheel arches starting to go rusty. Heated rear window packed up. Cross strut needed replacing. Gearbox electronics needed replacing. Rear suspension spring broken.

What's most practical about your car?

Comfort is excellent with most bumps being absorbed better than any of the other 20 or so cars I have previously owned.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

    Cruise control.
