Mitsubishi ASX (2010 - 2021) 1.8 3 ClearTec (10/12-) 5d Owner Review

This was my first ever diesel, and it will be my last. Back to the dealer several times with DPF issues. Was told to drive the car at high speed for long times just to avoid the problem. Driving for no other reason means fuel economy is immaterial. Talk about environmentally unfriendly! Beware rust issues. I am not alone in experiencing corrosion from inside. Mine is around the tailgate and the local Mitsubishi bodyshop said it looked like a manufacturing issue. However, unless you have had every annual bodywork inspection done by a Mitsubishi dealer (and my dealer didn't do it despite doing several services on the car), then you're on your own. Customer service has been non-existant. Overall, this has been my worst car for almost 30 years. I wouldn't take another Mitsubishi for free.
