Overview

In the continuing war of the Japanese rally-styled road cars the Evo beats Subaru’s Impreza in looks and individuality. Performance-wise they’re evenly matched but most people seem to fall into one camp or the other (if they can live with the leery looks at all). The Mitsubishi offers a more hardcore set up that most resembles a car set up for racing rather than driving on the road – it takes self control not to have your licence taken away from you within a matter of hours.

Later MR versions featured a number of significant revisions that further enhanced the performance and handling.
