In their own words

Because my average weekly mileage is low, this is the perfect car for me. In the summer I regularly average over 200mpg, because the majority of my journeys are under 30 miles and so are entirely electric. Over the entire time I have had the car my average is still 100mpg. I have solar panels, and being a plug-in hybrid this significantly reduces the running cost of the car. In electric mode it is quiet, it is very relaxing to drive, and the adaptive cruise control is superb. Combined with regenerative braking, this is the easiest car to drive I have ever owned. Even long journeys, on the few occasions I need it, are very relaxed and comfortable. I do a lot of DIY and, being an SUV style, it also carries everything I need, and with the back seat down carries a huge amount of equipment and tools, etc. Best car I have ever owned. I would never go back to a conventional engined car again, nor would I buy a non plug-in hybrid. The Mitsubishi system really does combine the best of both worlds. Criticisms: I would like a longer range on the batteries in the winter; it only manages 20 miles when below 10 degrees. Tyre noise in electric mode can be a bit noisy on some roads and of course you hear it far more when there is no engine noise. However, these are both minor issues, and certainly doesn't put me off the car.
