The R is a full-on version of the 749 and forms the basis of a big assault on WSS (World Supersport). The Testastretta engine runs a shorter stroke and bigger bore over the base 749, with titanium valves, valve guides and con-rods, magnesium head covers and carbon fibre belt covers. There's a claimed 118bhp, slipper clutch, adjustable frame, Ohlins suspension and Brembo brakes. It's handy on the track and comes only in red.
