  • Summary

    4 out of 5 4.0

What does this car say about you?

Don't know, haven't asked anybody but nothing exciting I expect. Might suggest that I'm a practical kind of wrinkly, who likes a bit of style.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

My wife and three adult sons like it.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes, as I could not afford to upgrade to a 308 for example. Does what I need it to do as a 3-4,000 a year low mileage person.

What are you likely to buy next?

At 78 I may not be around long enough to buy another car, but if so I would go for a Peugeot, Nissan or if I was really flush, a German car.

  • Buying experience

    3 out of 5 3.0

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchised

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £4,500

When did you buy the car?

    May 2012

Did you get a good deal and why?

Does one ever get a good deal from a motor dealer?

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Previous 2006 Vaux Zafira too difficult for my disabled wife to enter and exit. Peugeot 307SW slightly lower and with ample space.

    What was the dealer like?

Well known Nissan and Alfa Romeo franchise. Salesman very pleasant (well arren't they all when selling?) Peugeot was a one owner p/x for expensive Alfa Romeo.

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

A Mercedes or BMW it's not, but quite a nice and comfortable motor to drive.

    What's it like to park?

Not bad at all with rear parking sensors, although rear visability could have been built in better.

  • Living with it

    3 out of 5 3.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

Only had it since May 2012. 68k on the clock. No problems as yet, but only driven 300+ miles with it so far.

What's most practical about your car?

Nice drive, plenty of poke for 1.6, reverses better with added rear parking sensors at £250+. Looks nice. Stopped scanning car sales adverts and not looking for replacement right now.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Rear parking sensors invaluable for older drivers with arthritic neck issues. Liked the auto headlight and self folding mirror functions.
