If we could get the intermittent fault sorted out then yes, because it is practical and up until April very reliable.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchise

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £15,000

When did you buy the car?

    November 2004

Did you get a good deal and why?

Had a family member who worked for a Peugeot dealer and he got us the car with a family and friends discount.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Yes we had a fourth child and needed more travel space, we also tow a caravan so needed a car which was capable of doing this. We previously owned a Peugeot 406 and were so impressed with this we wanted to keep with Peugeot.

    What was the dealer like?

    Great

  • Driving it

    What's it like to drive?

A bit like a 'bus' on local roads, great on dual carriage-ways and motorways. Very comfortable to drive.

    What's it like to park?

When we first had it, it was difficult to judge front and rear of the car, but with experiance no problem at all.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Yes, we have an intermittent fault where the car losses power and 'miss-fires' and belches out clouds of grey smoke. The car has been taken back to the main dealer five times, where they plug into central computer but no fault shows up. Even thought they have seen the fault can't seem to find the problem. They have changed several sensors but still problem exists. (This is a different dealership to the one we purchased from). Other faults with car are minor and more annoying than anything. (i.e. electric doors don't always work, interior lights intermittently come on for no reason).

What's most practical about your car?

Side sliding doors a real boon in tight car parks. Moveability of seats for all occasions. Plenty of room for all passengers, each child has own individual seat.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

    Sliding doors.
