  • Summary

    1 out of 5 1.0

What does this car say about you?

    Unlucky!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They think it looks really nice and we all love the red colour it comes in, however they are not impressed with the reliability issues and the way some dealerships have dealt with it.

Would you buy this car again and why?

No- I expect a car of this age to be somewhat reliable of which it has not been. The newest and most unreliable car I've ever owned.

What are you likely to buy next?

Not a Renault. Probably a Ford.

  • Buying experience

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchised

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £0

When did you buy the car?

    May 2014

Did you get a good deal and why?

No- feel like I got robbed, paid over the odds for a car that hasn't been worth the hassle.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Economical, 4 yer warranty, nice looking car.

    What was the dealer like?

Terrible- the dealer messed up the whole transaction. They didn't start the finance until a month late. They messed up paperwork for the DVLA, resulting in me having to prove I'd bought the car and sold my other. They charged an excessive amount for a dog guard. Car was not ready to drive away when picked up.

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

Nice to drive, nippy without the Eco button in but then MPG significantly reduced. Nice fun car to drive but loud on the motorway in comparison to competitor cars. Very soft suspension. Sometimes needs a gear change on steep hills if you forget Eco mode is on.

    What's it like to park?

Very easy without any sensors or cameras.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

Horn broke taking Renault 1 week to fix, switch for full beam broke, car sometimes doesn't lock, window made a ticking noise/ motor issue, wiper switch broke resulting in wiper still going after locking the car. Power steering fault making the car un-drivable. Car has been in over 10 times for repairs and had had 2 safety recalls on the brakes since owning 1 and a half years.

What's most practical about your car?

Decent sized boot, cheap tax and insurance.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Sat Nav is great. Automatic lights are useful too.
