  • Summary

    4 out of 5 4.0

What does this car say about you?

I have given up an estate volvo, so it is quite a difference, but the previous owner had fitted a towbar, so trips to the DIY store etc are no problem. With only two of us, we find that fitting 2 more in is not a real problem. The car is not fast, not my style, but overtaking is not a problem.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They think it is a bit sporty for us-out of character, but you try and find a compact, reliable car with the extras a Renault has got, and they are hard to find.

Would you buy this car again and why?

I would buy a Renault again, yes, they have improved their technology and image immensely. It feels more reliable than many cars I have owned in the last 50 years or so-electronically it is more advanced than a friend's Audi, and more reliable, dare i say than my old Volvos!

What are you likely to buy next?

Probably a Renault, even if I came into money-but dreaming aside, it is always a balance. At 57 mpg all the time, it helps the pocket if nothing else.

    May 2014

Did you get a good deal and why?

I think so-it looked well cared for, although the milage was high-about 90,000 miles or so.` It seemed to have more features than comparable cars or even more expensive cars.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

    Cheap and well looked after.

    What was the dealer like?

    N/a

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

It was surprising to drive, much better that a big volvo I had to give up. Steering direct, and the car quiet when running.

    What's it like to park?

Not bad, but needs parking sensors-rear view is not so good.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

Normal wear and tear items-needed a new slave cyclinder and I found by accident the wing mirror had been glued back on, replaced easily but over £200 to do so.

What's most practical about your car?

Its economical, satnav is useful to find our way around, especially in big cities, and has keyless entry.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Excellent satnav, tom tom based, superior to an old Garmin which was quickly sold!
