    Knocked £195 off the asking price. As a private sale I saved even more from the dealer retail figure.

    Rover cars were gaining a good reputation following BMW ownership.

    What's it like to drive?

    Very easy and comfortable. Slight lack of power when going on holiday with the 4 of us and fully laden.

    No problems.

    Have you had any problems with the car?

    I have now owned the car for 8 years, and it has just had it's 11th birthday. Mileage is now 64,500. All the usual wearable parts have been replaced as and when required.

    What's most practical about your car?

    Hatchback version. I also use a roof box when going on holiday.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

    Electric tilt and slide sunroof.
