Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

The best aspects of this car are: the symmetrical 4 wheel drive, the 2.5 boxer petrol engine, the gearbox, the comfy seats with really nice leather, the space, the huge boot that is deep and not just tall, the excellent eyesight system which controls the cruise and forward safety systems, the really good satnav and music system, all the technology- and there is a lot, the fact that there aren't many of them on UK roads. Huge amount of standard kit. Great safety. Going around fast motorway bends very quickly and very safely. Going up winding, hilly country roads very quickly and very safely. Things to improve: heated rear seats and steering wheel would have been nice, when v cold the Boxer engine can feel a little strained until it warms up, can roll a little on really bad surfaces. Give us the same kit as on European and US models!!! But these are fairly minor complaints.

How reliable do you find the car?

The car feels very well built. After driving 15000 miles in 6 months on very bad roads I have had no problems at all. Not even a squeak or rattle from the cabin.

Does the car do everything you expected it to do?

This car is awesome. The 2.5 petrol engine is smooth and refined. The cvt gearbox is excellent - in my view far better than VW's DSG. The 4 wheel drive just grips and grips and then grips more. On a trip to the Alps it cruised quietly on the motorway and then navigated steep mountain trails securely and confidently. The adaptive cruise control works brilliantly both at speed and when stuck in a jam on the motorway I can take my feet off the pedals and the car just follows the car in front. The cabin is spacious and the seats were the most comfortable of all the cars we tested -mercedes, audi, volvo, land rover. Fuel economy excellent at about 40mpg with a real mix of busy motorway and town - why bother with a dirty diesel? There are so many little details that most days I still find something and think yes, they designed that just right.
