Fuel economy

A more stringent standard for fuel economy (WLTP) was introduced from September 2017, and this model was not required to undergo that test. Its fuel economy measured under the previous test system was 34 mpg. However these figures are less likely to be achievable in real world driving and so should never be compared to another car's mpg which was measured under the newer, more realistic WLTP system.

Suzuki dealers are known to be quite competitive when it comes to servicing but the flipside is that you may be spending a lot of time at the petrol station. The Kizashi is claimed to average 34mpg, but in reality it’s likely to return less than that.

Only one engine is coming to the UK: a 2.4-litre petrol engine. It emits 191g/km of CO2. This means costly road tax and high rates of company car tax.

The Kizashi is new to the UK so the jury is still out. However, Suzuki has a reputation for mechanical durability.
