What are the running costs?
This section is nice and short. There are no diesel engines or manual gearboxes on offer at all. Official fuel consumption for the 1.5-litre hybrid ranges from 65.7-68.9mpg, while official CO2 figures range from 92g/km to 98g/km.
It’s certainly more efficient than the pure petrol alternatives out there, while small diesels are becoming harder and harder to find. A Honda Jazz is nearly as efficient, though.
Servicing and warranty
The Yaris is backed up by one of the best guarantees in the business – Toyota’s 10-year /100,000 mile warranty. Toyota also offers a range of pay monthly service plans.
Reliability
- Four recalls
- Lots of shared tech
- Sophisticated and hybrid tech
Toyota has an enviable and entirely justified reputation for reliability, featuring in our most reliable cars article. Saying that, the Yaris has been subject to four minor recalls.
