Cargo Capacity

The Nemo maximises the cargo capacity available within its compact dimensions and can swallow a Euro-pallet thanks to an internal load height of 1,180mm. A standard load deck length of 1,520mm helps contribute to a cargo volume of 2.5 cubic metres but with the new 1.3 HDi versions it can carry a payload of 660kg. The petrol versions have a payload of 610kg, however. The LX model is available with what Citroen calls an Extenso folding/sliding passenger seat. This allows the passenger seat to collapse flat into the floor and enables items almost 2.5 metres long to be carried. For around £200 extra buyers can specify a folding, full-height mesh bulkhead that stops loads moving foward into the cab. LX models also come with a nearside sliding side door, although all models can be chosen with two sliding side doors as options. All Nemos come with four floor-mounted lashing eyes in the back and protective panelling to the waist rail.

Safety and Security

All the safety basics are present in the Nemo, including ABS and a driver's airbag. An alarm is optional on the LX and a passenger airbag is optional on both X and LX grades. However, side airbags are not available and neither is electronic stability control.

Costs

The Nemo should cost very little to run, and although the diesel is more expensive to buy new than the petrol, the low fuel consumption will be a bonus for those on the road in it most of the day: 65.7mpg is the official average fuel consumption of the stop/start 1.3 HDi. Citroen also offers an 'approved' LPG conversion for the petrol model, which could prove cost effective for high mileage drivers and it also has the added benefit that it's exempt from the congestion charge. Two packs are fitted to the LX, distinguishing it from the X. The 'plus pack' includes remote central locking and deadlocks, separate load compartment locking, electric front windows and electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors. The 'comfort pack' includes a height adjustable driver's seat, height and reach adjustable steering, lidded glovebox and dashboard-mounted clipboard. Bluetooth integration is optional on the LX as well as an 'all-road pack' with deeper side rubbing strips, larger wheels and raised suspension.

Reliability

The technology used in the Nemo is well proven in other Citroen car and van products, as well as those of sister company Peugeot. We don't expect any major problems.
