Toyota Proace capacity & size

4 out of 5 4.0

Beyond this, however, there is a choice of two wheelbases and three body lengths, giving the following dimensions:

  • Proace Compact: 4,606mm overall length, 2,925mm wheelbase, 2,162mm maximum load length, 4.6 cubic metre capacity
  • Proace Medium: 4,959mm overall length, 3,275mm wheelbase, 2,512mm maximum load length, 5.3 cubic metre capacity
  • Proace Long: 5,308mm overall length (due to extended rear overhang), 3,275mm wheelbase, 2,862mm maximum load length, 6.1 cubic metre capacity

Maximum load width is 1,628mm on all models, with 1,397mm between the wheelarches. The Compact will swallow two Euro pallets, the Medium and Long three Euro pallets; on the latter pairing, the side doors open wide enough to allow a Euro pallet to be loaded through them.

The Smart Cargo system (optional on Base spec, standard on Comfort from 2016) adds a removable bulkhead panel and a flip-up passenger seat, increasing maximum load length to 3,324mm, 3,674mm and 4,026mm for the Compact, Medium and Long Proace, respectively.

The flip-up seat also allows for additional load storage, complete with lashing points, worth an extra 0.5 cubic metres of capacity.
