• Summary

What does this car say about you?

Family man. Safety conscious person who needs LOTS of space. (And a good tow vehicle for our touring caravan!).

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

People especially admire the colour - which is a gold/green/silver (ish!) I think it suits the marque?

Would you buy this car again and why?

Probably not actually.... This is my 1st Volvo car and the gearbox issue has put me off slightly.... unfortunately!

What are you likely to buy next?

    Possibly an Audi Q-something....

    May 2011

Did you get a good deal and why?

Straight purchase. Very good service and knew the sales manager personally.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Room for a family of 5 plus a BIG boot to carry all the 'junk'!

    What was the dealer like?

Excellent all round. Great aftercare also.

  • Driving it

    3 out of 5 3.0

    What's it like to drive?

Very nice to drive overall, apart from the 'change-down' problem! VERY practical... and even gets admiring glances (and comments) usually by middle-aged men, in cords! lol.

    What's it like to park?

Easy peasy! My last two vehicles where Land Rover Discovery 3s.... so MUCH easier!

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

The auto (Geartronic) box is very 'jerky', especially when changing down gears. I have had it back to the dealer twice, and they've 'topped up' the auto transmission but it hasn't cured the problem!

What's most practical about your car?

Huge boot..... Very necessary with 3 kids and a dog!

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Family Pack option = built-in child booster seats..... very easy to use and collapse again whan an adult needs the seat.
