What does this car say about you?

Older person but not dead. Practical but not dull. Dont knock it to you try it.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

I regulary take a group of 4 friends, all over 6ft tall to events and all mention the comfort. My youngest son is 6ft 5inches and he loves it.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes, as over the last 2.5 years it has been a complete joy to own and drive. This car produces a lovely noise from its 5 cylinders, hits 60 in 7.5 seconds and still gives me 40 mpg. Whats not to like!.

What are you likely to buy next?

Whatever motability allow me in the large estate car class. At this time the xc70 is no longer on the list.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Large boot that can easily take my wifes electric wheelchair and at the same time with its delightful engine still allowed me my love of driving.

What was the dealer like?

Outstanding. Informative, knowledgable and supplied several different models for me to try and gave sound advice on access and electric tailgate to ease use by my wife.

What's it like to drive?

A great cruiser, quiet, very comfortable and the twin turbo engine makes overtakes quick and safe. This is not a hot hatch but can still be hustled along when required, as a retired police class one I have no trouble making full use of the 4 wheel drive and having fun. When we had snow last year the car performed very well inspiring confidence in its good road manners.

What's it like to park?

Big, but with modern power steering and a good view all around it is relatively easy.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Steering rack developed fault. Replaced quickly by dealer.

What's most practical about your car?

Shape of boot. The tailgate is upright and not the fashionable sloped type, therefore I can load decent sized items and my 2 dogs easily.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Electric tailgate, very useful.
