Safety

4 out of 5 4.0

The Brera comes with most of the safety features you'd expect in a modern car including seven airbags, Isofix anchor points and stability control. A driver's knee airbag are among the items you might not expect (a knee airbag for the front passenger is available as an option).

Interior & boot space

3 out of 5 3.0

Few coupes come with a boot as generous as the one in the Brera - at 300 litres capacity it's almost as large as a typical family hatchback. However due to the odd shape of the rear hatch, the luggage area is awkward to access and it's not easy to load heavier items. The rear seats do fold to boost the car's versatility but the cabin lacks stowage with narrow door pockets, a shallow glovebox and only a half decent central cubby between the seats.

How does the boot space compare?

Check the table below to see how the Alfa Romeo Brera (06-10) compares to other similar cars in terms of available boot space.

Model Boot space
BMW 1-Series Coupé (07-13) 370 litres
Alfa Romeo Brera (06-10) 300 litres
Audi TT Coupé (06-14) 290 litres
Nissan 350Z Coupé (03-10) 235 litres
