Engine
Bullet-proof, much better than the twin spark which has a high failure rate. Just make sure the timing belt and tensioners are changed every 72,000/5 years. Over £3,000 to fix, ouch!
Other
Known problems, air flow meters fail on phase two models, poorly sealed airbox or aftermarket sports filters usually to blame. Oil cooler pipes leak at around 4-6 years, drips of oil by osf wheel are giveaway, both these failed on my car.
