Parkers overall rating: 4.1 out of 5 4.1

Measuring 4,465mm in length and 2,153mm in width, the Vantage is longer and wider than its predecessor, but it remains strictly a two-seater. It has managed to retain its small footprint and high level of agility on the road, but this also means it’s not horrendous when it comes to parking too.

It shouldn’t be a big surprise to find out the turning circle isn’t as useful as a city car’s and having 2.4-turns lock-to-lock with the steering wheel means low-speed manoeuvres might take that one extra step. Visibility is also pretty poor in the Vantage. The thick A-pillars on either side of the front windscreen can obscure a lot of the view out, while the large door mirrors are capable of hiding cars altogether – both of which are not ideal when trying to enter roundabouts or weave into traffic.

Rear visibility is also compromised due to the large rear pillars and narrow rear screen, but at least front and rear parking sensors are standard.

Will my luggage fit in it?

There is, however, plenty of space for two inside the cabin with 350 litres of luggage space under the rear hatch. That’s enough for a weekend’s worth of luggage away with a little space behind the seats too. You can also option to have a branded umbrella Velcro-strapped to the tailgate, so you’ll never need bring your own.

Storage space inside the cabin is a bit mean, with the door bins, centre console and gearbox only being able to accommodate small items, but it’s no worse than any of its rivals.

Aston Martin Vantage safety

The Aston Martin Vantage has not been tested by Euro NCAP, but standard safety equipment includes airbags, electronic stability control, traction control and emergency brake assist.

Unfortunately, despite the fitment of LED headlights, the amount of visibility at night is disappointingly low. Optional safety equipment includes blind-spot monitoring, park assist, 360 degree camera and first aid kit.
