An impulse buy at auction. It looked smart and seemed good value.

What's it like to drive?

Acceleration is not quite what you'd expect from a 2.4 litre engine, but it's adequate. Comfort and road holding are above average.

What's it like to park?

Rear sensors make parking simple.

Have you had any problems with the car?

I've driven it for five years and 98,000 miles. The gearbox electronic control unit failed and this cost me £1200. That apart, absolutely nothing has gone wrong, so excellent reliability.

What's most practical about your car?

It's a real workhorse and the build quality is first class.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

The Audi multitronic gearbox is superb. I also love the cruise control and use it all the time.
