What does this car say about you?
Understated, refined quality. Why pay more for an inferior quality newer car when you can have older top long lasting quality at a bargain price.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Family love the space and comfort. Friends think its posh, but they paid more for newer but less comfortable and reliable Fords etc..
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes. It's one of the best cars I've had. Considerably better than the 2001 Volvo V70 it replaced.

Did you get a good deal and why?
Two owner ultra high spec car with low miles and good history, would have cost about £37k new, I paid less than £5k

What was the dealer like?
Good quality independant used dealer.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Creamy smooth engine gives good (but not earth shattering) performance and pulls well from all but the lowest revs. Suspension on the wallowy side compared to more modern designs but a superbly refined long distance tourer.
What's it like to park?
Good steering lock for such a big car, and good visibility.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Soon after I bought it the car needed a new air con cooling fan, replaced under warrenty. At 90000 miles two new rear shock absorbers, otherwise totally reliable.
What's most practical about your car?
Huge amounts of comfortable space for family, plus dog and loads of luggage. Loads of little practical extras like 17 interior lights, storage compartments everywhere etc..
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Optional BOSE sound system sounds great, also integrated sat nav.
