In their own words

I bought the car as a pre-registered (27 miles on the odometer) run-out version of the last model. It's actually 19 registered not 68 registered, but the drop down list above didn't allow anything later than 2019/68 reg for that model. It's my third A6 and the best yet. My first one, a 2010 SE 2.0TDI multitronic, had a few things that needed fixing under warranty but was a nice enough car for me to go back and buy a second one, a 2015 (15 reg) 204PS S Line 3.0TDI multitronic. That was a really superb car. It never needed anything doing to it other than routine servicing. The 3.0 V6 engine was so much smoother than the 2.0 engine in the first car, greatly enhancing the overall level of refinement. I also felt that the 3.0 litre engine suited the CVT gearbox better than the 2.0 litre. The only reason that I changed the car was because it had reached it 5th birthday. I just wanted more of the same. I prefer the previous model A6 to the current one because I'm not a great fan of touch screens, and when I discovered a pre-registered run out version of the old model with only delivery mileage on it, I snapped it up. I didn't particularly want the Black Edition or the Quattro drivetrain, but I did want the 3.0 V6. I can't say that either of those features makes it noticeably better than the 2WD S Line version, but neither do they detract from the car either. I thought the 20 inch wheels might spoil the ride, but it's not noticeably different from the 18s on the previous car. The the increased power output (272PS vs 204PS) is quite noticeable and whilst not really necessary it's nevertheless welcome. Due to pandemic I've only covered 2700 miles in the 9 months I've had the car, but very one of those miles has been a joy. No problems so far either.
