Audi A7 Sportback (2010 - 2018) 3.0 TDI Ultra SE Executive 5d S Tronic Owner Review

On the good side, it looks great, turns heads, good on motorways, handles well for a big car, reasonable economy, good tech, comfy, practical boot etc. On the bad, the combination of the 3.0Tdi (218Hp) and the gearbox is frankly absolutely awful in day to day driving. Minimal torque, in Comfort always in too high a gear, put your foot down to accelerate and first nothing happens then it drops 3 gears and puts you through the back window. It drives you insane. In Dynamic always revving like a boy racer. Bigger engine with quattro and more torque may be better. This engine/gearbox combo should not be on sale. Bose stereo blows your ears off loud but quality if terrible. Instrument dials vibrate but Audi cannot sort. Local dealer is useless. Servicing costs a joke. I would send this car back tomorrow a year early on the lease if i could, mainly due to the unbearable and frustrating drivechain. The most desirable yet least enjoyable car I have ever owned.
