Not bad value for money compared with the full size model.
Costs
30+mpg not bad for a 1.9-litre.

Solid ride - you always feel in control, except when driving in the wet (that can be a little hairy!)
Performance
A little slow to get going, but when it does it can really motor.

Head gasket failed after 4 years.

Not quite as good as the full size model, but a cut above other makes.
Comfort
Had the sports seats as optional extra - lots of adjustment. No problems on long journeys.

BMW optional extra alarm. Never had any problems.
Service
Excellent service, although do shop around - can be up to £50 difference between garages charges. Always came back cleaner than when it went.
